Together with our project partners, we acknowledged that high unemployment rates disproportionately impacted adults with disabilities, making it significantly more difficult for them to find jobs and build thriving careers. We identified digital entrepreneurship as a valuable alternative that offered new opportunities to decrease unemployment within this group. As a result, our project was dedicated to promoting digital entrepreneurship education for adults with disabilities and providing educators with the necessary tools to deliver exceptional training.

At Outreach Hannover, our commitment was to open doors for individuals with different abilities, giving them access to quality education and training that could enhance their employability and help them establish rewarding careers. To support this mission, we launched the strategic partnership project, “Digital Entrepreneurship Education for Adults with Different Abilities.”

This initiative focused on digital entrepreneurship as a means to reduce unemployment rates among adults with disabilities. The project aimed to empower unemployed adults with disabilities by offering inspiring, innovative, and up-to-date resources such as an online course and a handbook. Furthermore, we sought to improve adult educators’ knowledge and organizational management by creating a curriculum, toolkit, and training program designed to build their competencies in digital entrepreneurship for adults with disabilities.

Our project united partners from five European countries: Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, and Sweden. Together, we implemented a series of activities that included developing intellectual outputs, training trainers, and organizing open conferences. Additionally, our project encouraged the exchange of best practices among partners and the growth of high-quality strategic partnerships.

Our project directly benefited over 200 participants and beneficiaries, including staff, trainers, educators, and young adults with disabilities, who received training and mentorship in digital entrepreneurship. The project’s outputs provided organizations with innovative educational approaches and tools that were more effective when working with adults with disabilities or limited opportunities, resulting in a more extensive impact on our target group.

This project is an example of Outreach Hannover’s dedication to promoting equal opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities. Through this initiative, we strived to provide valuable access to quality education and training that empowered participants to develop successful careers. Our collaborative efforts with partners across Europe demonstrated our shared commitment to fostering a more inclusive society and transforming lives through the power of digital entrepreneurship.
